From the obedience chapter: Have you ever watched a trainer come to a halt in a trial and the dog fails to sit? As a judge I see this all too frequently. Do you really think the dog forgot? After judging many dogs and training professionally for over 30 years, I believe this often results from avoidance. I observed that worried dogs were far more likely to forget to sit.
